Just to have something to do when you’re bored, or to have extra income since your SSI or SSDI, or Social Security payments are a struggle to live off of? I mean, for those of you who have psychiatric disabilities that prevent you from being able to work around other people, limited mobility or cognitive disabilities, or even blind or deaf or have any other disability?

..those motorized scooters or wheelchairs that elderly people often use? I work in a hospital environment, and I often see people using the motorized scooters (the sit down kind), and their only “disability” appears to be that they are overweight.

Do you think people with weight issues should be provided with scooters like that? Doesn’t it only discourage exercise, and perhaps even make the problem worse? What do you think?
