Scooter poll : do you think people whose only real disability is being overweight should be provided with…?

I work in a hospital environment, and I often see people using the motorized scooters (the sit down kind), and their only “disability” appears to be that they are overweight.
Do you think people with weight issues should be provided with scooters like that? Doesn’t it only discourage exercise, and perhaps even make the problem worse? What do you think?
