I want to switch up and work for the federal government. How can I get in?

Posted: April 11th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Q & A | Tags: , , , , | 2 Comments »

I work in community mental health, and have a BA in Psych. Most of my experience is with people with mental or developmental disabilities. I want to do something different with my life. How do I get in with the federal government? Are there any entry level positions or posititions that will train you if you don’t have all the qualifications? Does anyone know about the upward mobility program?

I don’t know about the upward mobility program but I’m sure you could find the government’s job openings on a web page.

There are entry level positions but they’re not for people without prior experience. And most won’t do a relocation fee.
