Mark Johnson speaks about protests and demonstrations he’s been involved in efforts to make transportation systems and public built environments more accessible. Mark acquired his physical disability in a diving accident in 1971 and soon became joined Wade Blank and ADAPT in fighting for accessible transportation in Denver. Today he serves as executive director of the Shepherd Center in Atlanta, a rehabilitation and treatment facility for people with brain injuries and spinal cord injuries. This is #17 out of more than 1000 interviews that “It’s Our Story” has collected in an effort to free the voices of the disability community.
